Maharashtra thinks of new policy for value added textile growth

Maharashtra, where a large quantity of cotton is cultivated had been procured largely in southern textile centres like Madurai, Coimbatore and Thiruppur. Currently, much of the activity surrounds on cotton processing like ginning and spinning, where much value addition is not taking place. So the state government is thinking to identify cotton clusters to bring about textile units integration.
